Now a conservation area, this is the site of E.E. Cummings tree house (no longer extant) where he wrote The Enormous Room. At the time Cummings worked here there was no road and he traveled from his parents place at nearby Abenaki by boat or canoe. The view at the end of this slightly uphill walk is quite lovely.
